High rates and money wasted

EMPTY shops in Newport are caused by the rates these shops have to pay.

Before T-Mobile closed the manager told me the rates on the Newport shop were more than the two shops in Cardiff; if you have a business that is not viable you close it or sell. That is why the ship and the Transporter Bridge have to go. We illuminate a bridge at night with electricity bills soaring, why illuminate a bridge and keep a wooden ship in some warehouse using electricity, water, etc? My grandson asked ‘where is the ship?’ I haven’t a clue, and no signposts either as to regeneration.

Why is it that people feel the need to display their ignorance in such a public way?

The ship has the potential to be a great tourist attraction to our city yet not only do you not see that you are also incapable of even basic research before mouthing off to a newspaper.

Go to newportship.org. Then realise the error of your ways.
