It's funny you didn't say this

EX-Caerphilly council leader, Nationalist Mr Pritchard, criticises Caerphilly council’s Labour leadership for making the controversial pay award to the council’s senior officers (Argus, March 13).

What Mr Pritchard strangely neglects to mention is that: (1) The previous Plaid Cymru-controlled council, under his leadership, was happy to make exactly the same pay award this time last year but decided to postpone it until after the 2012 local elections (which they lost); (2) It was the Labour-led Caerphilly council which in January this year rescinded the original pay rises and reached a compromise settlement. Nationalist councillors wanted to postpone rescindment of the pay awards. Mr Pritchard seems to have forgotten the old saying ‘People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones’.

This unionist councillor didn't mention the £110,000 spent on spying Equipment .

What about the thousands of pound commissioning a report on pay within the top officers. Then only to reject its findings. Or one of the officers that will enjoy a pay rise and good pension settlement is the son of a Unionist Labour cabinet member.
