Thousands of people lined the streets for this year's Braintree Carnival.
A colourful procession of floats made its way through Lakes Road, Manor Street, the High Street, Pierrefitte Way, Panfield Lane to Meadowside today.
Tess O'Connor, 45, of the Witham Twirlettes said: "Everyone is full of spirit."
Many spectators said that this year's event was far better than last year's.
