I WAS pleased to read of the recent report from the Gwent Dementia Board (South Wales Argus, October 9). Reach and the Seren Group have been working with the Aneurin Bevan Health Board and the Alzheimer’s Society for some time. Their advice and support, especially that of the Younger People with Dementia Group, have been invaluable.
We are collaborating to develop a centre of excellence that will provide a wide range of services including respite care and day services. It is only by working across all organisations, together with people with dementia and their families and carers, that we can consistently provide excellent services.
Ruth Marks Director of Older Person’s Services, Reach
