WE hear so much criticism of the NHS and Social Services that I feel I must give them a few words of praise.

I have been a patient at both the Heath in Cardiff and the Royal Gwent (and my son is, at present, a patient in the latter) and I could not have been treated better or more cared-for.

The Social Services with whom I have had contact have been helpful beyond my expectations or hopes.

I, therefore, would say it is not the fault of the frontline workers if there is criticism of all kinds which points to the faceless ones behind them and the system that has to be followed.

So let’s give praise where it is due. A little goes a long way.
