Operation delays

READING about hospital operations being cancelled, in September 2012 I was booked for a small eye operation, since then it’s been cancelled six times.

My family take time off work to look after my husband who suffers from senile dementia. My daughter travels from Merseyside – they cancel at the last minute.

I have given up, don’t want to bother but my family insist my operation must go ahead (sometime).

When cancelations are at that level it considerably increases costs and reduces efficiency of the NHS. Cancellations should be the exception and not the norm

I see the WAG's latest brain wave is to rebrand the Welsh Ambulance service as the " Welsh Emergency and Clinical Services NHS Trust" and a Chief Ambulance Services Commissioner post would also be created, with the job of advising local health boards about ambulance services"

What a waste of money how much will they spend rebranding it?

Why an earth do we need a job created to tell Health trust about the Ambulance service. They should already be well aware of it

The ambulance service should as a matter of course already be working with the health boards as they are its main customer
