IN Monday’s Argus Maria Williams said the Newport Ship could be a major catalyst for the regeneration of the city. The Friends of the Newport Ship are delighted with the recognition by Prof Simon Gibson and his team of the important role that Newport’s rich history and heritage can play.
We share both Prof Gibson’s and Dr Deacon’s view that the city has many groups with vision and ambition prepared to do what is required to show that it is a place proud of its past as well as embracing its future. The Friends enthusiastically look forward to being part of the History, Heritage, Culture and Sports Forum.
