THE WELSH NHS has seen too many re-organisations and meddling from the top down when actually simple, sensible changes could be made to strengthen our health service and increase access for patients.
It is UKIP policy that where there is demand for longer GP surgery hours, there should be evening opening times for full-time workers who are unable, due to work commitments, to visit their doctor during the working day.
This simple measure would relieve pressure on our A&E services around the country.
Surely it is time that the NHS was run for the benefit of the people it serves; people do not get ill 9-5.
