I READ with bemusement the attempt (SW Argus, January 9) by Labour councillor Nigel Dix to blame the former Plaid Cymru administration in Caerphilly for the pay scandal crisis which engulfed the county borough council soon after Labour took control in May, 2012. The party was clearly unprepared for the responsibility.
Councillor Dix was also clearly unprepared. Readers may recall that he is the councillor who recently called the Islwyn Labour AM and a fellow Labour councillor a joke in an email. He is an embarrassment to his own party members and really should think before rushing to the media with such drivel, a lame attempt to divert attention from his own party`s failure.
