HOW DISAPPOINTING to hear about the bogus clothing bags purporting to come from Kidney Research UK. And there was I believing that every bag that plopped through my letter box has been the real deal.
I am nothing if not a soft touch, so each appeal for clothing, from whatever charity, has been as an arrow through my heart. The result has been a disastrous drain on my already meagre wardrobe. This is why I am writing this clad only in loin cloth and a dab of Brut. Heaven knows what will happen if another bag arrives tomorrow; I have to take the dustbins out.
