THE English Premiership rugby clubs’ European Champions Cup proposal is for a 20-team main competition, with SIX places each guaranteed for England and France, and just ONE each for Wales, Ireland, Scotland and Italy.If the unions in those last four nations accept this proposal, they will deeply regret it.
