MAY we through your letter page say a big thank you to everybody who helped to raise funds to restore a local chapel at the table top sale at the Village Hall Bournville Road Abertillery on Saturday June 8.
A big Thank you also goes to all those who attended and supported the event.
We are very pleased to announce £240 .78 was made on the day.
More grateful thanks are sent to Mrs Rose Gilbert for making and donating the most beautiful patchwork bed quilt which was raffled and raised an additional £122. Thank you Rose.
Thank you to all those who bought a ticket for the quilt, the winning number was 85 and the lucky winner was Ms Angela Porter of Pontypridd.
Mrs Kath Baker won the cake with a guess of 3lbs 8ounzes being the closest, to the actual weight of 3lbs 12oz. The teddy bear’s name was Liam and won by Mrs Sharon Jones.
