I AM an unemployed man living in Cwmbran who is trying desperately to get work in one of the local factories, however I have found that nowadays all the local factories recruit their workforce through recruitment agencies. I have registered with several of these agencies but have not been given any work (or been offered casual work as and when required which is of no use because I need to have a regular income coming in so as to pay the rent/food/gas/electric etc). How I long for the good old days when a factory would advertise a vacancy in the South Wales Argus or in the local Jobcentre and interview potential candidates then employ them. Oh well, nostalgia aside, I can only keep on trying to find a local job let’s hope that one of these recruitment agencies reads my letter and decides to give me a start somewhere soon.
