Wonderful wing

First published in Letters

YOUR article on former Newport wing Dennis Perrott made for a good read. Interesting to learn Dennis carried the Empire Games baton up Tredegar’s Sirhowy Hill. They knew he had the engine to do it! I was in a party from Tredegar Grammar School taken to see the All Blacks game at Rodney Parade by our PE teacher, the late Alun Pask. It remains the biggest game I’ve attended.

Alun Pask. He was head when I was in school. Lovely, gentle giant of a man.
