NEWPORT Senior Citizens Forum is an organisation which seeks to represent the interests of all those in the 50+ age group, holding quarterly meetings at the Riverside Suite, Newport Centre (next meeting AGM April 14, at 2pm).

However, this letter is an open letter to Councillor Bob Bright, leader of the council, who has failed to respond to two communications in relation to the Market Square bus stops and the Friars Walk Development.

An email was sent to you on the 17th February 17 with regard to the Market Square bus stops and the numerous problems associated therewith and on the 27th February 27. No acknowledgement or response has been received.

Cllrouncillor Bright, we would invite you to that meeting to respond to the issues raised and remind you that Seniors are the ones who are the most likely to vote at the next local elections. The lack of response to legitimate inquiries will not be forgotten.

The full text of the emails is on the city council’s website. Follow the links for Newport Senior Citizens Forum after the 14th or come to the AGM. when it will be read out to the meeting.
