AS LABOUR-controlled Torfaen Council makes a further £11.2 million cut to the budget (bringing the total cut to £44.2 million!) I noticed on the front page of “Torfaen Talks” a photograph of Cllr Hunt and the dear leader Cllr Bob Wellington.
On the desk in front of them is a quote on display by Charles Darwin: “It is not the strongest species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the most responsive to change”.
How have these councillors responded to the vicious ideologically driven Con/Dem government cuts onslaught against our class?
They have not only meekly capitulated but willingly made cuts to public services which will impact on the very people they are supposed to represent! So where is the empathy, altruism, co-operation or mutual aid which are all factors in our Darwinian evolutionary development?
Indeed, they have shown no strength or intelligence!
