AS A long-time reader of the South Wales Argus I always take an interest in the legal and public notices. Much information can be gained there.
I must admit, however, that it was baffling to read the notice on p22 of your April 15, 2014, edition. This concerned Mr Perkins’ application for a “rip rap revetment” at a Caerleon cottage. At first sight, I thought he must be promoting a performance-art event!
Eventually, having referred to my trusty dictionary and by putting two and two together I found the rough answer: purely to do with marine matters.
Still, it shows that if you read the South Wales Argus regularly, you will always find you have learned something new!
