TO NEWPORT’S councillors and architects, take a trip to Gilligan’s Island on Cardiff Road, and cast your eyes towards the King Billy Pub, and admire the fine architecture of days gone by.
It might stop you turning Newport into Box City. Today’s architecture reminds me of a song from the 1950s, “Little Boxes made of ticky tacky; there’s a blue one and a red one”.
