Shed democrats

First published in Letters

I FOR one am enraged at Plaid Cymru daring to suggest that the European Parliament should be robbed of its second entity in Strasbourg.

How can they contemplate depriving so many euro-politicians from their comfortable, inert, fat-cat existence? The very idea is in itself undemocratic, at least according to the E.U.C, and they should know.

What is more, I find this a direct threat to the second Welsh Assembly which my mate Stan and I run from the shed.

Our efforts are indisputably indispensable to the entire infrastructure of the nation as a functioning...something or other.

Don’t write – we never answer letters.

I'm sure your shed parliamentarians are at least as effective as the Welsh MEP's. Keep up the good work.

Other than UKIP you might as well just buy a rubber stamp from Wilkos and send it to Brussels. Save £1.8 million a year in expenses each and do the same job as labour, tories and plaid.
