CAN ANYONE help or are there any family members of Sgt Eric Frank Hopkins, 1654214, Royal Air Force (VR), W.Op/Air gunner under training who was killed with the other crew members of an unarmed Avro Anson on a training flight when they were shot down by a German night fighter intruder on 25th April 1944.
I have been asked for help in tracing any family members by the Porch Museum in Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire who are researching aircraft that crashed in their area and hope to set up story boards in the museum to honour these men.
Sgt. Hopkins’ parents were Frank Pearce Hopkins and Phoebe Martha Hopkins of Newport.
