I AM writing to express the frustration I have with those mindless people who feel they have to spoil things just because they can. In this case a two-benched sited adjacent to the Merchant Navy Memorial on Mariners Green Cardiff Road.
In preparation for the installation of the two brass plaques that will commemorate the part the Merchant Navy took in the First World War and the D-Day Landings (this year marks their 100th and 70th year anniversaries respectively) one of our members, at his own expense, took the time to refurbish the benches. However, within a day of restoration they were vandalised with graffiti. Why?
