AM's insult

I AGREE with First Minister Carwyn Jones that Gwent Tory AM Mohammad Asghar description of the South Wales Valleys as the Third World is a profound insult.

This silly remark also makes light of the problems facing developing countries. Given the Tory Government’s extreme austerity measures imposing savage cuts on Local Government, perhaps Mr Asghar should try ranting at his own party in government.

Given the council's failure to address waste and profligate spending, perhaps Hedley McCarthy should try looking a little closer to home

A FEW things in our favour we do not stone women to death nor do we insist that they walk about like a black Bedouin tents neither do we marry babies to old men, I think we do have some other things going for us including allowing people like Mr Asghar to live in our communities and practice his multi faceted and varied political beliefs .

Factually many parts of the UK are 3rd world, in the educational context BELOW some 3rd world output. the NHS is also worse than some 3rd world health areas too, nobody cares here any more. Our elderly are abused, our children neglected, our social services on the point of collapse, our disabled dumped, our social conscience abandoned to outright hatred for those worse off than we are. However Mohamadd Ashgar could take a look at Pakistan, at least we don't allow parents to stone their daughters to death who marry by own choice whilst the police watch and applaud. What sort of country or religion is that ? I'd say biblical if not for the conundrum.

Carwyn's idea of a working NHS. Even Romainia has a better Cancer treatment service.
According to the latest figures, 15,456 cancer patients in England received treatments through the fund in the past year, compared with 216 in Wales.
This equated to just seven patients in every 100,000 people in the population in Wales, compared with 29 per 100,000 in England. Ministers said the cross-border divide was likely to infuriate residents of Wales, which is run by a Labour dominated devolved administration.

On reflection a bit harsh, developing country is the correct term, and yet yet like lemmings the people vote labour, look around the world at what socialism has achieved.

Which of his parties were you referring to Hedley ? I don't think he has joined UKIP yet he already has a fistful of party cards. If Carwyn offers him Education who knows which party he will grace at the next election ,In fairness he could possibly do a better job than the current incumbent .
