HAVING spent a short time in the Royal Gwent Hospital for an “abdominal aorta aneurism” – during which my treatment was exemplary – I would like to put on record my grateful thanks to all staff who were involved, and there were many.
It would be invidious to mention individual names, even if I knew them, with perhaps the exception of the surgeon, Mr .C. P. Twine.
I did notice that even though the ward was a busy one and quite large, there were only two nurses staffing the ward at night. If I may paraphrase our wartime PM, MrChurchill: “Never in the field of nursing was so much asked of so few, by so many.”
Once again, thank you all for giving me my life back.
