Get a grip

First published in Letters

THE recent letter by Cllr Hedley McCarthy whinging about “savage” coalition cuts, should cast his mind back just four years to remember the £160 billion debt left behind by Labour’s Gordon Brown and the 2 Ed’s.

He may also be mindful of the recent BBC Wales poll of Council satisfaction.

This show a massive 51% satisfaction rate, and obviously, a 49% disapproval, of his very own Blaenau Gwent Council. So come on, Mr McCarthy, get a grip!

Its hardly surprising that a Labour councillor would blame the coalition spending cuts. You don't genuinely believe that they would take responsibility for their own failings do you?

So how much more tax does he want us to pay for a third rate NHS and Local authority's. Perhaps if they were well run and efficient most cuts would not be needed

The aforementioned letter from Cllr Hedley Mcarthy shows up his ignorance of and contempt towards the people of his county and in general.
To comment unfavourably on an opponent and their party is what all politicians blow hard at the best of times.
But to completely ignore the unarguable fact that his own beloved party steered us through unprecedented times of prosperity whilst his leaders encouraged the bankers and their actions through lack of regulation and understanding leaving only a note at the Treasury stating all the money has gone, whilst cherry picking the bad bits of another equally inept parties abilities just leaves a bad taste in the mouths of the people who have had not but grief for over 5 years now. If Blanaeu Gwent vote him in again they want seeing to...at the nuthouse. Enough is enough surely.

Until the blinkered people of Wales wake up to Labour incompetence and failure they will continue to condemn the rest of use to live under it.

Thatcher is dead, the mines are shut, grow up and get over it.

Labour has done little to benefit anyone outside Cardiff, the NHS is a shambles along the vast majority of other public services.
