THE increase in security at airports due to a possible terrorist attack shows the total lack of understanding by our leaders who chant the mantra: “Fight them over there to make us safe at home”. While our troops have/are being killed and maimed in Afghanistan, the enemy is being born here, or are flying in, tourist class, through our major airports.

Through 200two hundred years of colonialism and foreign diplomacy, our leaders seem to have learned nothing of how foreigners think, or their view of life, and insist on thrusting our way of life on to them – usually by force of arms, often with huge loss of life, on both sides, and disastrous future consequences for the country concerned.
