I WOULD like to put on record my sincere thanks to the Risca West and East Community Events Group for their tireless work over the past six months organising this year’s family summer event in Risca Park.
Over 3,000 people attended the Hoe Down and Show Down with scores of people telling me this year’s event was the best ever. The group will now have a two-week break before starting to prepare for this year’s Christmas Lantern Parade and if any members of the public would like to join the events groups please drop me a line, my details are available on the Caerphilly Council website. Finally I would like to thank Caerphilly CBC for their support.
