ALMOST two years ago, Wates Living Space began the mammouth task of bringing the three residential tower blocks owned by Newport City Homes up to the Welsh Housing Qualtiy Standard.

Work to the blocks has inevitably caused a lot of disruption to residents.

As the works to the Greenwood block on the St Julians estate comes to an end, I would personally like to thank Wates ,QDL and other sub-contractors for the supportive and friendly manner in which they have carried out the works.

All the on- site staff have worked diligently and conscientiously and have made every effort to ensure that disruption and stress has been kept to a minimum. On the whole, the standard of workmanship is excellent Although it will be a relief to see the end of the noise and mess, I for one will miss the friendly banter, singing and smiling faces of the team.

I would like to thank them for all their hard work and wish them all the very best for the future!
