I NOTE that Paul Flynn MP has blogged the following regarding the Pill ‘peace camp’. “The No to Nato protest group has invited unlimited numbers of people to set up a peace camp on playing fields in a residential part of Newport. They did not consult local people. Now they have demanded that the cash-strapped council provide full toilet and rubbish clearance facilities.”

I thought maybe we could help him with his failing memory and rewrite it somewhat. Paul Flynn and the Labour party have continually invited unlimited numbers of people to set up permanent residences in every part of Newport.

They did not consult local people. Now they have demanded that the cash-strapped, tax-increasing council provide full toilet and rubbish clearance in addition to out-of-work benefits, child benefit to their children abroad, educational facilities, free school places, free healthcare, tax credits and access to interpreters for themselves and their children, for life. On a side note, however, I am shocked and amazed to see Mr Flynn mention Newport at all. Even given his prodigious output, it is a rare treat.
