Such charges, together with the ‘rental charges’ should have not been given to the French and never invoked.
Did Scottish bridges ever have them and how many of the English bridges ever incurred these costs?
This is a suggestion put forward by Clegg and the Liberal Democrats.
Like the Tories they are desperately sewing seeds to capture votes for the next general election.
An open question – is any thinking voter going to believe Clegg and trust him as a Tory puppet ever again following the university funding and other failed promises?
