WHERE have all the good times gone? Wales is at its all time low in the world of rugby. Maybe there are a number of fans in Wales who will disagree, but the end of the battle with the WRU is over and now the end result is being lived and, because of the strength in the club teams and the opposition now far greater than the Welsh teams can support, Wales is the smallest of the nations with only few more than three million people.
Cardiff and Swansea soccer teams will continue to draw supporters. France and England will keep claiming the better rugby players as they come to the top. So, how can one Welsh team put a team together that is capable of the competition to get to the top? There is no way for improvement for club rugby in Wales and because of the destroyed morale in Welsh players at international level, there will be no more grand slams or triple crowns. They will only be there to make up the sixth nation. It’s so sad and it ‘s going to take a long time to be restored.
