WAITING for a coach at Newport railway station, I couldn’t fail to notice how little cover there is there. The weather was atrocious, with rain and very strong winds, and as there was only one small bus shelter, most people had to huddle under nearby trees to get some protection.

Because the conditions caused flooding on the motorway, the coaches were up to three quarters of an hour late, which meant we were all very wet by the time we boarded the coach. There is a serious lack of shelters, seating and toilets and as it’s the only area in Newport for pick-ups and drop-offs, so something needs to be done to accommodate all the people who use the area.
