MY DAUGHTER- IN-LAW recently travelled from Portsmouth to visit her mother who is in a nursing home and also my husband, who is in St Woolos Hospital. She found she was getting low on petrol so she went to the Aust Service station to fill up. To her horror she found she was penned in by motor cyclists who wouldn’t let her through. She is not a person who panics, but admitted she was frightened.

The interruption caused her to be very late and she had only a short visit to her mother and also with my husband and then she had to face the long journey back to Portsmouth. She saw no diversion signs. Where were the police? (Stuck in the traffic?) She was very upset about the whole episode. As she lives in Portsmouth, she knew nothing about the event. She is a great girl and she makes this journey once or twice a month.
