AFTER thousands of Labour voters defected to the Scottish nationalist cause in the referendum, Ed Miliband preferred to gripe about Ms Lamont and her local organisation.

But if Labour is losing out even in its historic heartlands, responsibility lies with bad national leadership.

Ed Miliband sacked Labour’s Scottish general secretary, Ian Price – leaving Johann Lamont, the party’s leader in Holyrood, humiliated and without authority and Labour failing to hold its core vote in the referendum and SNP membership rising. Miliband and his key advisers in Westminster should have been asking what they can do to help, instead, they have created a crisis by mishandling Lamonts’s departure.

Sadly the same is happening here but Carwyn Jones is a member of the Ed Miliband London boys club and doesn’t like to rock the Labour party boat.

Only voting for more SNP MPs will secure more powers promised by London parties. Like here in Wales, only voting for more Plaid MPs will secure the future of Wales.
