I THOUGHT I had seen it all on Bank Street, St Julians, City of Newport, with the ever increased numbers of speeding bikers, speeding motor racers, heavy lorries, vans, coaches, delivery vehicles, etc, .heading for and from a highly populated area, sports park and 500-pupil Glan Usk School. As I returned from a Caerleon Road shopping spree this week, a bright yellow “Yamaha Racing Team” vehicle carrier zoomed up Bank Street at 35/40 mph M.P.H. from the direction of the Glebelands to Caerleon Road. Newport City Council knows that Bank Street is too dangerous for local residents, schoolchildren, visitors, etc,. and is a top priority for regeneration - – surely the Welsh Assembly Government will agree!
Does Newport City Council have a cunning plan for St Julians to compete with the proposed acing Track at Ebbw Vale?
