WHILE watching Question Time on the BBC, I was quite stunned at the hypocrisy of Leanne Woods and Kirsty Williams, leaders of Plaid Cymru and the Welsh Liberal Democrats respectively, who jumped on the Tory bandwagon in criticising Labour’s handling of the NHS in Wales.

Have they forgotten that both parties entered into coalition with Labour at various times during the lifetime of the Welsh Assembly and, therefore, must accept some responsibility for any shortcomings, if there are any.

On a personal note, both my father and mother-in-law, who are approaching their 90th birthdays, have had to rely on our NHS extensively this year, and have both received excellent care and nursing at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr and the Royal Gwent where doctors, nurses and ancillary staff have been wonderful.

So please, let’s not fall into the trap of David Cameron and his odious sidekick Jeremy Hunt in believing that the English NHS is better than ours!
