I HAVE lived all my life in Newport – a town, then we achieved city status because we have a cathedral and the Queen gave Newport her vote.
In every big city or big town, there should be a library and museum for the education of the next generation. So, why is Newport Council closing this important facility down?
If they want to save money and the tree, don’t cut off the healthy branches. Start looking at the heart of the tree – the council – and cut out all the dead wood.
