THERE has been quite a bit of criticism of education provision across Wales in recent years. So I was delighted to receive a very positive report from inspection body, Estyn, on the Usk Nursery in Monmouth Road, Usk.
It is crucial that young children get a good start to their education as it stands them in very good stead as they move through school. The nursery received a good rating for both performance and improvement prospects.
I’m certain the recommendations for improvement, including development of the use of Welsh, will be followed. Top marks to the team at Usk Nursery and also to the children and their parents.
