PAUL Murphy MP deserves congratulations for his many years of public service for people in Torfaen. However, I was disappointed that as sitting MP his decision to stand down was not announced until just a few months before the UK General Election.
This indicates that the Labour Party is taking the electorate of Torfaen for granted. The Labour Party just believe they can pick and introduce a candidate only a few weeks before the May vote, everything will be fine and he or she will be elected come what may.
