ABERGAVENNY seems to have missed out again!
We were told that a planning application existed to provide disabled access at the Monmouth Road railway station. Nothing seems to have happened apart from a brand new station in Newport and proposals for ramps to all platforms at Severn Tunnel Junction.
We are well aware of the logistical problems of providing such access at our station, but perhaps Network Rail could consult with maritime colleagues who provide cruise liner access from ship to shore and seek possible adaptations at our station (gangways and lifts) G.D.T.
