I FARM on Mynydd-carn-y-cefn Common. I would like to comment on the article in the Argus on March 14 headlined “God’s people need Circuit, inquiry told”,(Circuit of Wales Project) which suggested it will improve people’s lives.
I don’t think it will improve the lives of the farmers in the area. My concern is it will encourage people to ride motorbikes on common land. They are already ploughing up the tracks, making it almost impossible for farmers to go about their daily work, such as feeding their livestock.
The livestock will starve if farmers cannot get to feed them. Also the noise of the motorbike scares the lambs who run away from their mothers. All this will put farmers out of business, so many jobs will be lost as well as gained.
