THE STORY of Joseph and his techni-coloured coat from the book of Genesis never fails to please whenever it is performed on stage. However having just returned from the Congress Theatre at Cwmbran I feel compelled to pay tribute to the Congress Youth Theatre for their wonderful performance of this story.
How marvellous to see so many of our local young people present such a spectacular show. The audience were treated to a stage which was full of colour and music from beginning to end, with the professionalism second to none.
I feel it only fitting to make special mention of Tom Smith, who played the title role and was on stage virtually throughout. The choreography was outstanding and I am sure the cast were fully aware of the appreciation of the capacity audience by the standing ovation they received. Well done to everyone responsible for such a great show.
We are so very lucky to have such talent in our valley.
