I APPEARED on the BBC’s Big Questions programme on March 1 and accused Paul Flynn MP of being hypocritical for spending time writing books and making money from those books despite saying that MPs shouldn’t have second jobs.
In fact, Mr Flynn has confirmed to me that he donates all the profits from his books to charity on an anonymous basis.
I therefore sincerely apologise to Mr Flynn for any confusion caused by my statement and have agreed to make a donation to The Richard Hunt Foundation.
