THE recent launch of the Active Inclusion Fund by the Labour-led Welsh Government is great news for jobseekers in Islwyn and Caerphilly.
They’ll benefit from part of a £16million fund that aims to help people who have been unemployed for a long time to find work.
The fund will also help people facing barriers to employment through disabilities, low skills, or substance misuse problems.
With thousands of places in work placements, work-based qualifications, further education and training being created, Active Inclusion will hopefully make an important contribution to turning around the lives of people in our Valleys communities.
Cllr Gez Kirby, Pontllanfraith
