INTERESTING to read about the proposal to reduce the voting age to 16. I may well have missed it, but I don’t remember this being a well publicised policy of any of the major parties. It now seems to be turning into a bit of a campaign for this to happen, but perhaps we should consider carefully, first. I don’t know about today’s young people, but I am not sure I could have been considered “mature” enough to vote at 18 ( a few years ago now!), let alone at 16.
