NEXT week is Volunteers’ Week and I would like to say a huge thank you to our 4,000 fantastic volunteers in Wales.
Volunteers are our lifeblood, and the Royal Voluntary Service simply couldn’t exist without them.
Volunteers’ Week is a great opportunity to highlight the role our army of volunteers across Wales play in their local community, who without making a fuss or asking for a reward, give their time selflessly to others.
Thousands of our volunteers work in hospitals in our shops and cafés while others provide invaluable support to older people in their communities, whether it’s helping with daily tasks such as getting some shopping or settling someone back home after a stint in hospital, no job is too big or too small.
I ’m taken back every day by the support the charity receives and would like to thank all our of volunteers for their incredible work.
