I WRITE following the excellent care provided to my wife who was admitted to Ystrad Hospital on May 2 with a suspected chest infection.
Christine was initially referred to A&E, but following a scan, it was discovered that she had terminal cancer and only had a short time to live.
Sadly, Christine passed away four days later on May 6.
I cannot thank the staff at A&E on Bedwas Ward enough for all they have done. They made my wife feel at ease, displaying their kindness, empathy and very professional care. I thank all the marvellous staff, doctors, nurses and hospital management for the great respect shown to Christine who will be missed so much by family, friends and so greatly by me. Ystrad is a fantastic hospital about which I will always speak highly as a centre of excellence that everyone should make use of for their medical attention.
