SINCE taking office in 2010, Osborne has pretended that his multi-billion pound austerity cuts are driven by his desire to drive down government borrowing.
However, back in the real world government debt has gone up from £900billion in 2010 to a massive £1.6trillion.
Albert Einstein described insanity as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
Osborne’s actions are driven by his dogmatic belief in neo-liberal economics, which have resulted in working people’s wages falling in real terms while the wealth of the ultra-elite has increased by a whopping 40 per cent.
Cameron has now announced cuts in work benefits, arguing that employers should pay higher wages. Does he not realise that in-work benefits are paid because employers will not pay a living wage? If Cameron wants a high wage economy all he as to do is increase the minimum wage, and the need for in-work benefits will decrease. The truth is, Dave does not care.
