DURING the past six months, we have been commemorating some of the bloodiest, cruellest wars and battle atrocities of the past centuries known to mankind, but amid all of this, we celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ with the immortal words “peace on earth, goodwill to all men”, then we commemorated his crucifixion and again we are told “he died to save us all”. Still today we have the evil, heinous acts of the Islamic State, wars in eastern countries, starvation and disease in African countries with thousands of children dying daily and yet again the words “suffer the little children to come unto me”. I try to have hope and faith, but at the moment, I am one bewildered Christian.
