SO THE city fathers who destroyed the Chartist mural feel that a light display will adequately replace their act of vandalism.
A light display is pathetic and transitory, but a new mural will last for generations (unless destroyed again on a whim), let’s have a new mural that the Newport people and visitors can view and admire for many years to come.
