NATIONALIST Mr Nutt criticises our Labour-led Caerphilly Council for paying the Living Wage to its workers, and for “voting against a cinema for Bargoed” (Argus, July 31).
As is often the case, Mr Nutt seems to be confused.
On the Living Wage, is Mr Nutt saying he wants his council’s lowest-paid staff to face a pay cut?
Is he saying his own Nationalist party’s policy in favour of the Living Wage is wrong?
On the proposed Bargoed cinema, Labour councillors did not vote against it. Council supported previously-agreed policy not to go ahead with the project if tenders submitted were too costly.
Again, is Mr Nutt saying his party’s Caerphilly council group leader was wrong to argue against the cinema going ahead?
Unlike Mr Nutt and his Plaid Cymru chums, Caerphilly’s Labour councillors act consistently in our county borough residents’ interests.
